Sand Blasting

One of the oldest art techniques used to create the decoration on glass plates is sandblasting technique. Decorating arises by blasting a jet of sand against the glass. The sharp-edged grains of sand carried by the current of compressed air at high speed impinge on the glass surface. Since glass is fragile, its parts fall off and so the surface becomes roughened and dull. The sandblasting is used for surface ornamentation or decoration. It´s often used on windows, doors, and is very popular around the world. The current technological and material options allow the production of glass with any theme and production with excellent reproducibility. By this depth manual sandblasting technique can be created almost any motive. The sandblast can be up to several millimeter depth, thereby decor particularly stands out.
